Police in Limassol have launched a manhunt for three individuals that robbed a cash-delivery vehicle at a supermarket in Ypsonas on Monday.
Sigma TV reported that the incident occurred at approximately 11:30am when three assailants attacked the driver of the vehicle transporting the money. One of the assailants was carrying a gun, while the other was carrying a bat, with which they injured the driver.
The assailants were able to escape with the vehicle, which according to Sigma’s information has approximately 100,000 euros.
The driver, who was hit in the head, was taken to Limassol General to receive emergency care.
Sigma reported that near the area of the armed-robbery a burnt vehicle was found, which is believed to belong to the assailants.
