The Civil Servants’ Confederation (ADEDY) has called a 24-hour national strike on Thursday, January 17 to demand the revocation of the new system of teacher appointments, contained in a bill currently in parliament, ANA reports.
In a statement on Tuesday, ADEDY noted its decision was based on teachers’ unions decisions and on the high turnout of teachers in the January 11 and 14 strikes and rallies.
