A survey conducted recently across eleven European nations regarding the driving behavior revealed some interesting information about the way Greeks drive their cars, according to greekreporter.com.
According to the survey, carried out by the French VINCI Autoroutes Institute, Greek drivers swear the most of any people in the eleven countries which participated in the survey.
A whopping 71% of Greek drivers admitted that they swear at others while driving.
The most polite European nation was proven to be Sweden, where only 32% of the drivers said that they swear while behind the wheel.
An interesting finding of the same survey notes that aggressive driving behaviors are on the rise all across Europe.
Eighty-four percent of all the surveyed drivers confided that they are afraid they will have to confront another aggressive, and perhaps violent, driver at some point.
The corresponding number for Greece was eighty-seven percent.
Approximately half of Greeks also admitted that they occasionally drive while they’re tired, a habit which could easily lead to road accidents.
The survey also unveiled that fifty-four percent of Greek drivers admit to using their mobile phones while driving, with the European average of drivers who admit to the dangerous practice at only 33 percent.
