5.1 R tremor felt in Greek capital of Athens with no major damages reported

Α tremor measured 5.1 on the Richter scale has been felt in the Greek capital of Athens, the European Earthquake Monitor reported.

The quake was “strong but fortunately not very long,” according to one witness cited by the monitoring website.

It officially hit about 14 miles northwestern from Athens, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.
