Athens sending SMS messages to deter people from crossing Greek border

The text of a message being sent to the mobile phones of anyone approaching the Greek border with Turkey, informing them that the Greek borders are closed and that no one will be allowed to cross, was released by the Maximos Mansion, the headquarters of the prime minister and Greek government, on Sunday, ANA reports.

The message, sent in English, reads as follows: “No one can cross the Greek borders. All those attempting illegal entry, are effectively prevented from entering. Numbers cited by Turkish authorities are entirely false and misleading.”
