Scattered clouds that will gradually start to mass and produce showers in the west, with moderate southerly winds and rising temperatures, are the forecast given by the National Observatory of Athens weather service meteo for the Clean Monday holiday, according to ANA.
Winds are favorable for the traditional kite flying activities of the holiday, with their intensity at around 3-4 Beaufort until the afternoon. At sea, winds will blow from a southerly direction in the Aegean, reaching a peak of 6 Beaufort, while in the Ionian they will blow at a similar intensity from the southeast.
There may be some showers in the Ionian Sea and western Greece and possibly in Thrace after the afternoon.
Partly sunny weather is forecast in Attica, with clouds massing from the afternoon and temperatures ranging from 6C to 18C. Winds will blow from the southwest, 3-4 Beaufort, rising to around 5 Beaufort in the afternoon. Partly cloudy in Thessaloniki, with temperatures from 6C to 17C and winds weak to almost moderate, 3-4 Beaufort.
