Greek PM announces hiring of 3,000 permanent “Help at Home” employees

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a video conference with the mayor of Kallithea, on Thursday announced the hiring of 3,000 permanent employees to support the “Help at Home” programme, the financing of which has been secured. He even stressed that the strengthening of the programme is not temporary but will continue, ANA reports.

In a conversation with Interior Minister Takis Theodorikakos, Kallithea Mayor Dimitris Karnavos, Social Policy Director Phoebe Theodosopoulou and employees of the programme, the Premier congratulated them on their work. Mitsotakis also congratulated all the participants in the programme, who take care of the distribution of food and medicine to more than 70,000 elderly and vulnerable citizens in 273 municipalities throughout Greece.
