The Municipality of Ermionida (Peloponnese) has been placed under quarantine for 14 days after the detection of 150 cases of coronavirus in the structure of refugees and immigrants in Kranidi, int.ert.gr reports.
The measures in the Municipality include: complete traffic ban from 20:00 in the evening until 08:00 in the morning for 14 days, and suspension of the operation of the farmers markets. From 08:00 in the morning until 20:00 in the evening, people are allowed to travel for work, see a doctor or go to the pharmacy and grocery stores. Nevertheless, it is forbidden to travel to provide assistance to people in need, to attend ceremonies and exercise.
Police have sealed the entrances and exits to and from Ermionida while the area’s Health Center has been reinforced with six more doctors and four nurses.
“There is no need to panic, we need calm and sobriety,” pointed out Deputy Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias after meeting with local authorities in Kranidi to manage the emergency.
