Greek Navy's gunship carrying medical assistance departs for Beirut

Greek Navy’s gunship IKARIA sailed early Sunday for the port of Beirut carrying armed forces’ medical and nursing staff, medicines, and material collected by the Civil Protection and Crises Management Deputy Ministry in the context of Greece’s aid to Lebanon to address the consequences of 4th August’s fatal blast, ANA reports.

According to the National Defence General Staff and after Cyprus’ request, the Greek gunship will load material from the port of Limassol, a Cyprus’ offer to the government of Lebanon.
