Greek Deputy Labour Minister responsible for the issue of welfare and social solidarity Domna Michailidou in an interview on Saturday to Athens-Macedonian News Agency said that the government’s aim is to perform active policies against poverty and not only benefits and passive acceptance of the facts.
She noted that with “weapons” the subsidy of 100,000 new job positions and the increase of the funds for the benefits by 300 million euros are the Labour Ministry plans to address the repercussions of the pandemic.
