Covid-19: Growing concern over the course of the pandemic in Greece

There is growing concern over the second coronavirus wave in our country, following the two negative records that were registered over the weekend, int.ert.gr reports.

More specifically, on Saturday, the number of intubated patients in the ICUs went up to 100, while on Sunday, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) recorded the biggest number of daily deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, with 13 fatalities. Of the 280 new infections, 141 were identified in Attica.

“We are increasing, doubling our ICUs. Every week, every month, we equip better the National Health System. But this alone cannot be enough, if we, as citizens, are not careful or responsible”, said the Health Minister Vassilis Kikilias during his visit yesterday at the Penteli General Hospital.
