1,211 Covid-19 cases and 12 fatalities announced Thursday in Greece

Greece confirmed 1,211 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, of which 47 relate to known clusters, and 35 were identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said, according to ANA.

So far Greece has registered 35,510 infections, of which 4,043 are related to travel abroad and 12,843 to already confirmed cases.

The number of patients in intensive care units (ICUs) rose to 114, from 108 on Wednesday. 

EODY also confirmed another 12 deaths, bringing fatalities to a total of 615. The median age of the deceased was 79 years and 96.3 pct of them had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or more. In addition, 234 of them were women.

In a statement the same day, Deputy Civil Protection Minister for Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias said that the infection threat level for the regions of Larissa (central Greece), Thessaloniki, and Rodopi (NE Greece) will be raised to 4, the highest alarm, as of 06:00 on Friday.
