Greek Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis on Thursday presented his so-called White Book for the protection of citizens, according to ANA.
He noted that security policy concerns us all and can’t be kept behind closed doors. Without consensus, there can’t be law enforcement and without cooperation, there can’t be security, he said
The 21st-century police are described as having the following characteristics:
They are “green”, with reinforcement of recycling actions, ‘smart’ and uses new technologies and innovative systems, more digital, with less paperwork and use of communication and information systems, open and in communication with society through social media, efficient, with more preventative and volunteer action, and supportive of its human resources through lifelong education.
