Greek Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis is heading to Madrid for the 25th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25), held at the Spanish capital from December 2-13 under the presidency of the Chilean government, ANA reports.
COP25 is expected to resolve several outstanding issues in climate policy, including provisions under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement which would allow countries to meet domestic mitigation goals through market mechanisms such as carbon markets, and also communicate adaptation efforts under the Paris Agreement.
