Draft bill sets out rules on electric car charger stations in Greece

New public and private buildings will be obliged to install electric car chargers, according to a draft bill on electromobility by the Environment & Energy Ministry currently on public consultation, ANA reports.

Construction based on building permits dated after March 2021 will have to include wiring and chargers at each parking station. For housing buildings with more than 10 parking spaces, the wiring for individual chargers is the minimum that must be installed during construction, whereas for buildings with mixed-use (housing and offices), one charger per five parking spaces will suffice, according to regulations following European Union laws.
