Bill banning one-use plastics by July 2021 tabled in Greek parliament

The draft bill that will ban single-use plastics as of July 2021 was tabled in the Greek parliament on Friday by Environment & Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, ANA reports.

Included in the future ban will be plastic cutlery and plates, styrofoam cups and containers, cotton swabs, and cocktail mixers, among other products. The aim is to reduce use by 30 pct by 2024 and by 60 pct by 2029.
