The 7th Olive Oil and Olive Festival opens on Friday with the participation of producers throughout the country. The festival will be hosted at the Peace and Friendship indoor sports facilities in Faliro (SEF) and will run until Sunday under the auspices of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
The visitors will have the opportunity to taste different varieties of olive oil and olives and to get acquainted with rare olive oils with chocolate, lemon, saffron, orange and truffle as the olive oil-medicine for the heart.
Forty chefs will prepare recipes based on the olive oil from all over Greece and the visitors will be able to buy olive oil and table olives from over 100 small producers from Crete, Kalamata, Mytilene, Chalkidiki, Fthiotida, Achaia, Ilia and other Greek regions.
The official inauguration of the festival will be held on Friday at 19:00 and the 7th Olive oil and Olive conference will open on Saturday at 10:00.
