Beer lovers will have the opportunity to taste beers from Greece and abroad at the 4th Athens Craft Beer Expo ‘Zythognosia’ that will take place at the Zappeion Hall in Athens on October 14 and 15.
A large number of microbrewers will take part in Zythognosia, some of them presenting their products at an expo for the first time.
Beers from Crete, Evia, Chios, Rhodes, Santorini, the Peloponnese, Cephalonia, Mykonos, Macedonia and mainland Greece (Sterea Ellada), will be showcased side-by-side with unique label beer from countries where microbrewery flourishes, as in the United States, Britain and Italy.
All types of beer will be represented at the event, which will also include original beer tasting sessions – for example, combining ‘extreme’ tastes like dark beer aged in a barrel that used to hold red wine.
Microbrewer Steve Gammage, owner of the Bronckhorster Brewing Company, one of the growing microbreweries of Netherlands, will be present to exchange views and forge new contacts with Greek brewers.
The expo will be open from 12:00 to 21:00 on both days.
