Athens Walking Tours were featured on Nikos Manesis’ show on Alpha TV, “Weekend with Manesis” on Saturday, June 5th.
The show followed an Athens Food Tour and a group of American tourists who participated in it by touring the gastronomic hangouts of Athens, as shown in the video below.
According to the American tourists on the show’s camera, they chose this food tour because gastronomy is a great way to get to know the culture and learn interesting facts about the country. In addition, American tourists pointed out that touring the authentic gastronomic corners of the Greek capital is a unique experience, which, in addition to taste, gives them the knowledge that they could not acquire by wanderings unescorted.
The Greek traditional dishes that they liked the most were feta, olive paste, tsipouro, liqueurs, dessert, honey, and genuine Greek pie also known as “bougatsa”.
