California Chain Ap?la Greek Grill will offer donations to Food Bank

The aptly-named Ap?la Greek Grill – ‘apola’ means ‘from everything’ – wants to give some back so during the holidays through Jan. 5, 2023, will donate 5 percent of all proceeds from the sale of some foods to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County in Southern California.

That’s for sales of Ap?la Pita Sandwiches, Plates with a goal of raising $5,000 and said it would kick in $2500 to get it started, banking on its authentic Greek gyro to whet appetites and fill coffers, QSR reported.

“We’ve had a great 2022, opening two new locations and celebrating five awesome years with our fans,” said Co-Founder Yianni Kosmides. “We wanted to share those successes with those less fortunate in Orange County, especially during and after the holiday season. Our growth has the Ap?la brand gaining more traction across Southern California, so why not put those gains to good use and help others?”

“With only four locations, we’re not a huge brand,” adds Kosmides. “But we believe every little bit helps, which is why each of our employees will have the chance to help Second Harvest and make a difference in our community.”
