This year’s stop of Sympossio Greek Gourmet Touring in Edinburgh has concluded, marking the end of the 2025 series of events. The initiative, the fruit of the collaboration between Aegean Airlines and Aldemar Resorts, highlighted Greek gastronomy as a tool for cultural connection and tourist extroversion.
In fact, Sympossio’s presence in the Scottish capital was warmly welcomed by tourism professionals and representatives of the local market, strengthening the ties between Greece and Scotland at a time when tourism demand is strengthening.
Meanwhile, the participation of Angela Tzifa, Deputy Head of the Greek National Tourism Organization Office for the United Kingdom & Ireland, was decisive, as she highlighted the role of institutional synergy in promoting the country’s modern tourist identity.
With the creative signature of chef George Hatzopoulos, the event offered an authentic Greek experience, also in view of the strengthening of air connectivity, with the addition of three new direct flights per week from Edinburgh to Athens.
Sympossio 2025 bid farewell to the Edinburgh audience with a positive impression and strategic partnerships, confirming that taste and hospitality are the best ambassadors of Greece abroad.
