The Earth Festival – A celebration of experiential acquaintance with Chania – opens its gates again this year, and will take place from July 2 to 6 in the open-air area of ??the 1st Experimental High School of Chania, next to the Municipal Market.
With the slogan “Chania – A Place to Come, a Way to Live”, the Festival is a multi-faceted cultural and productive event that brings together the Local Government, producers, businesses, cultural groups, and educational institutions in a joint effort to highlight the local wealth and modern identity of Chania.
What will it include:
Presentations of local products and actions of the Municipalities and bodies of the P.E. Chania
Experiential workshops and presentations, which bring the visitor into contact with the cultural and nutritional traditions of the place
Tasty events with antikristo, traditional noodles and other local delicacies, integrated into the European project “Crete – European Region of Gastronomy 2026”
Creative activities for children, focusing on nutrition and the environment
Cultural events with music and dance groups
A dedication to the Nautical Week, on Sunday, July 6, with special actions and events
Finally, it should be emphasized that the organization is under the auspices of the Region of Crete and is the fruit of cooperation between the Regional Unit of Chania, all the Municipalities of the prefecture, the Chamber of Chania, and PANETAIK SA.
