Agroxenia, in strategic cooperation with the Hellenic-Italian Chamber, tirelessly continues the dynamic course of the European transnational program DigAccess-Agrotourism in the Greek countryside.
After the successful events in Xanthi, Volos and Kozani, Serres is next, where tomorrow, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the fourth station of this collaboration will take place, co-organized by the Chamber of Serres.
The choice of Serres as the location of the fourth station was not accidental. This is because the prefecture of Serres has, among other things, a rich natural environment, significant agricultural production, historical and cultural resources that constitute the ideal background for the creation and development of sustainable forms of tourism. However, like many areas of the Greek countryside, the Regional Unit of Serres faces challenges such as: digital inequality, limited visibility and interconnection of local products, lack of accessibility to structures and experiences for all, etc.
The European transnational program DigAccessAgrotourism comes to bridge these shortcomings with practical tools, transnational exchanges of knowledge and know-how, European networking, cooperation at local and European level, etc. aiming to enhance accessibility and digital transformation in agritourism.
Agritourism is not just a product or service. It is an experience, memory, identity and relationship with the place. With actions such as the one that will take place at the Serres Chamber from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, Agroxenia, the Hellenic-Italian Chamber and the Chamber of Serres demonstrate in practice that local development and a European perspective can coexist harmoniously and be optimally combined to achieve maximum results. DigAccess-Agrotourism is not just a program but a development platform for people, regions and ideas.
Participants in the fourth station of the collaboration between Agroxenia and the Hellenic-Italian Chamber – co-organized by the Chamber of Serres – (entrepreneurs and professionals in agritourism, rural tourism, owners and managers of guesthouses, farmers, producers of local products – wineries, dairies, processing units – cultural institutions, Co-operatives, etc.) will have the unique opportunity to learn about how to strengthen, promote their business beyond borders and stimulate their entrepreneurship with tools such as networking, international European cooperation, while at the end of the event they will present and share their experiences, thoughts and concerns. And this is because the future of Greek agritourism is built digitally but is based on deep roots.
