The Peloponnese and Central Macedonia Regions adopted initiatives in order to promote tourist destinations within their jurisdiction:
The Peloponnese Region decided to participate in the following three tourist exhibitions.
1. “Greek flavor” between November 27-30 at the Olympic Fencing Center. According to the Region, the purpose of the exhibition is the promotion of gastronomy, tourism, culture and entrepreneurship in Greece as well as the advertisement of local areas and products.
2. “Greek Tourism Expo” between December 4-6 at the Athens Metropolitan Expo. This decision for a second consecutive participation was based on last year’s recorded success which included 60 exhibitors, 75 international hosted buyers, and 2.600 B2B meetings with international tourist agencies.
3. “Grecka Panorama”, between December 11-13, in Warsaw, Poland. The exhibition is organized for the first time in the Polish market and is exclusively dedicated to Greece. It is modelled after the successful Grekland Panorama in Stockholm, Sweden and aims at enhancing tourism, gastronomy and local products.
The Economic Committee of the Central Macedonia Region approved funding projects with 65,000 euros (including VAT) for the production and reproduction of tourism brochures, placement of advertising posters, banners, as well as relevant promotion materials and applications.
