Tourists visit to Europe continues to grow significantly fueled by a surge of travelers from the U.S. and China.
In 2015, China and U.S. were the main players that have contributed positively to the growth of tourist visit in Europe reaching 5 percent as quoted by Chinatravelnews.com on Thursday, March 3, based on the Long-Haul Travel Barometer report.
European Travel Commission (ETC) along with European Tourism Association (ETOA) and Eurail Group G.I.E. have developed a survey institution Long-Haul Travel Barometer that monitors tourism travel from five major European market countries.
Those five countries include Brazil, China, Japan, Russian Federation, and United States. Long-Haul Travel Barometer has researched the impact of Paris attack on the intention to conduct a long trip to Europe in 2016.
The impact of terrorist violence, including the attack on Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine, is not as significant towards tourist travel to Europe. The trend will continue to grow and is expected to keep growing this year.
