Turkish Tourism: Arrivals decrease by 10.3% in February

The number of foreign visitors to Turkey fell sharply by 10.32 percent in February of 2016 from a year earlier following a 6.40 percent decline during the previous month.

It was the fifth straight annual fall due to widening security concerns.

Economists have forecast that tourism revenue will shrink by a quarter this year, costing the country around $8 billion.

Tourist Arrivals in Turkey averaged 1593205.48 from 1993 until 2016, reaching an all time high of 5480502 in July of 2015 and a record low of 213998 in January of 1993.
