Cyprus airports welcome over one million passengers during October 2016

Celebrating a company record, Hermes Airports in Cyprus announced that its Larnaca and Paphos international airports welcomed over one million passengers during the month of October.

Between October 1-31, 2016, Larnaca International Airport witnessed a total of 738,275 passengers travel through the airport, while another 270,983 passengers travelled through Paphos International Airport.

Collectively, the airports welcomed a total of 1,009,258 passengers during October; an increase of 31.5 per cent.

MITT 2017

The countries bringing in the highest increases in passengers during the month included Russia, Greece, the UK, Switzerland and Ukraine, among others.

CEO, Hermes Airports, Eleni Kaloyirou commented on the impressive numbers: “The fact that this year’s rising course continues during the months of a non-peak season is very encouraging. It seems that this trend will continue during the winter months also.”
