The latest booking figures for leading destination airports on the German package holiday market record that Greece continued to show good demand last month, albeit with lower increases than the high double-digit increases seen in the last few months. Heraklion on Crete had an 8% rise compared to increases of 39% in March, 31% in February and 36% in January. Rhodes had a slight 1% rise last month while Kos was up by a strong 20%.
The Greece demand trend was confirmed by a separate price comparison by Traveltainment which showed that the average price of a Crete package holiday, with flights to/from Heraklion, increased by 4.2% last month compared to April 2016.
