Revenue from tourism stood at €86.1 million in Cyprus during March

Revenue from tourism reached €86.1 mn in March 2017 compared to €80.9 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 6.4%, on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey, published on Tuesday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

The first three months of the year, all presented an upward trend in revenue. According to the figures, March saw a doubling of revenue compared to February.

For the period of January – March 2017 revenue from tourism is estimated at €168.1 mn compared to €147.6 mn in the corresponding period of 2016, recording an increase of 13.9%.

The increase is mainly attributed to the rise of revenue in the months of January and February, by 28.8% and 24.6% respectively.
