There are prospects for further development of tourism in Cyprus, Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said on Tuesday, recognizing the decisive role of tourism industry in the recovery of the economy, and pointing out that the effort to improve the quality of the product should continue.
Speaking on the sidelines of a press conference for the presentation of the book “Cyprus – A Culinary journey”, sponsored by CRB, Bank Georgiades said that 2017 for Cyprus is another excellent year for tourism, with very good prospects from both the Russian market and other markets such as United Kingdom and Germany, and it is undoubtedly confirmed that tourism is the driving force of Cyprus’ economy.
