Greek tourism: + 22% increase in bookings from France

An increase of 22% compared to last year, has been recorded in the French demand for holidays in Greece this summer, according to the bookings made so far by the travel agents in France.

Greece is the second most popular choice for the French after Spain, followed by Italy in 3rd and Portugal in 4th place.

According to the respective professionals federation representing 850 French travel agencies, Entreprises du Voyage, Northeastern Europe is showing a particularly strong demand this year from France and is going to attract the majority of travelers from that country.

Portugal is followed by Tunisia and Morocco, which is recovering rapidly this year (+ 211%). Strong growth is also seen in Asian destinations. For example, TUI France recorded a double-digit growth rate for Greece and + 23% for Morocco.
