The efforts to attract tourists, mainly from Turkey, to the region of Evros and especially to Alexandroupolis have borne fruit, the president of Alexandroupolis Trade Union Kostas Chatzimichael told the Athens Macedonian News Agency.
He noted that it was a record year in terms of tourist arrivals from Turkey to the region and particularly Alexandroupolis adding that the increase in tourist arrivals was also reflected on revenues.
Chatzimichael expressed his content over the fact that the businesses and professionals of the tourism sector have adjusted their services to the needs of the tourists and expressed the hope that the positive trend will continue in the future.
