The year 2017 is expected to mark a new historic record as regards tourist arrivals, which are expected to surpass 3,6 million, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation says.
According to a CTO press statement, in September, 483.716 tourists visited Cyprus, compared to 421.201 in September last year, recording an increase of 14,8%.
‘This is the 27th consecutive monthly increase in tourist arrivals’ it says, stressing that July, August and September 2017 are historically the best months in a row.
As regards September, it is noted that the UK showed an increase of 10,8%, Russia 6,2%, Germany 65,5%, Northern Countries 18% (average) and Israel 77,5%.
