Finnish ambassador notes good relations with Greece on independence centenary

Finland’s Ambassador to Athens, Juha Pyykk, noted the good relations between the two countries in a message to the Athens-Macedonian news Agency (ANA) on Monday, on the occasion of the recent 100th anniversary of the recognition of Finnish independence by Greece in 1918.

“The fact that the official relations between the two countries date back to the early days of the independence of the Republic of Finland has provided a solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations. The friendly support that the Greek authorities provided to the celebration of 100 years of the independence of the Republic of Finland in 2017 further strengthened the mutual interest in developing these relations further across all walks of life,” he added.
