Greece remains this year the most popular destination for Austrians, with bookings up to now presenting 45% rise compared to last year, stresses the Austrian press in view of Thursday’s inauguration of the International Tourism Fair of Vienna. Greece participates in the fair with a stall of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) where more than 150,000 visitors are expected until Sunday.
Lisa Weddig, the General Manager of the largest Austrian tourist group TUI Austria notes that due to increased interest, the company will make available 19 aircrafts per week for flights to Greece, while flights will begin end March, three weeks earlier than last year.
