EU and China welcomed the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year in Venice on January 19 launching a programme that extends beneficial cooperation between China and the European Union and is exploring new initiatives to increase the flow of tourists to both destinations, ANA reports.
The EU-China Tourism Year programme is funded by the European Commission and is run by leading European travel agencies, such as the European Travel Agency (ETC), the organization called “Welcome Chinese” as well as the European Tourism Association (ETOA).
It is designed to boost business networking and contacts between major European and Chinese tourism businesses. It will include a discussion on practical initiatives to promote less-known destinations in China and the European Union, on upgrading travel experience, facilitating the issuance of visas and improving aviation.
