Deviations of up to 42% have been recorded for German tourists regarding the cost of organized holidays in Crete with the same accommodation and hotel characteristics, as shown by a comparison of prices between the cheapest and most expensive travel service provider.
According to a survey by the German travel platform Check 24, if the Germans make a thorough market research, the amount they can save can be as much as 1,530 euros!
The most expensive holiday package in Crete for accommodation at Pilot Beach Resort costs 3,636 euros and the cheapest 2,104 euros.
The survey was based on a travel case for staying in the same hotel, in the same room category, with the same meals and for the same length of stay while the average hotel rating should be at least 4.5 out of 6 points between 1 January and 31 August 2018.
The greatest difference in packages for organized holidays in Germans’ favorite destinations was recorded in Tenerife at € 2,178.
A smaller deviation, equivalent to 550 euros, was observed in Mallorca, with a saving of 31% depending on the provider of organized holidays.
