Revenue from tourism grows by 6,8% in Cyprus during November

Revenue from tourism in November 2017 amounted to € 89.5 million compared to € 83.8 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a rise of 6.8% on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey of the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

For the period January – November 2017, revenue from tourism is estimated at € 2,583.3 million compared to € 2,312.5 million in the corresponding period of 2016, recording a rise of 11.7%.

The growth in revenue in November was mainly due to the increase in arrivals that reached 16.5%, as announced previously by the Statistical Service.

At the same time there was a drop of 8.3% in the tourist expenditure per person, which in November 2017 amounted to €618.68 compared to €674.46 in the corresponding month of the previous year.
