The per capita expenditure of tourists in Cyprus between January-November 2017 was significantly higher than the respective amount in Greece.
In particular, average spending in Cyprus stood at 723.03 euros, compared to 525.3 euros in Greece, a whole 198 euros higher.
Furthermore, in November, the average per capita expenditure of tourists in Cyprus was more than double the corresponding expenditure in Greece.
According to data released by the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus, the average cost of tourists for November 2017 stood at 618.68 euros compared to 281 euros in Greece based on relative data of the Central Bank.
For the January – November 2017 period, the revenue from tourism in Cyprus amounted to 2.58 billion euros compared to 2.31 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2016, recording an increase of 11,7%.
During November, revenue from tourism amounted to 89.5 million compared to 83.8 million in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording an increase of 6.8%.
