WASHINGTON, DC – Continuing the annual tradition, President Donald Trump on Thursday, March 22, opens the doors of the White House to welcome the representatives of the Greek community to celebrate the 197th anniversary of the Greek Indpendence.
The National Herald is at the White House covering the reception in honor of the Greek community and Greece.
The commemoration of March 25th was initiated by President Ronald Reagan and has become an annual tradition over the years. Last year, was the first for President Trump welcoming members of the Greek community and representatives of Greece at the White House.
Trump also signed and presented to the Archbishop Demetrios, Geron of America, the Proclamation for Greek Independence Day, which was a first in the context of the event.
