Greece and Switzerland are bound by long historical ties of friendship and have strong prospects for further deepening their bilateral relations, especially in innovation and research, outgoing Swiss Ambassador Hans-Rudolph Hodel noted in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) that covered a range of issues, including tax evasion and the situation in Syria.
Hodel, who is leaving Athens and retiring at the end of April, revealed he was grateful to end his career in Greece, while noting that the Greeks had made his stay pleasant but also “deserve our respect and support” for their manifold efforts at a time of great challenges.
