Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura opened the major international travel exhibition for outgoing Chinese tourism, ITB China, which is being held in Shanghai (May 16-18) with the participation of exhibitors from 70 countries.
Greece has enhanced its presence this year with the participation of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO or EOT in Greek).
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Kountoura was interviewed by the Chinese television network CGTN and she referred to the ministry’s planning for the dynamic opening to the Chinese market, which saw a double-digit increase of 35 pct last year, and is expected to further increase by 50 pct in 2018.
