Cypriots resident’s trips abroad rose by 1.7% in May compared to the same month in 2017.
An announcement issued by Cyprus Statistical Service says that on the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 103.796 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in May 2018 compared to 102.068 in the corresponding month last year, recording an increase of 1.7%.
In May 2018 there was a rise of 9.5% in the trips of residents to Greece (37.851 in May 2018 compared to 34.559 in May 2017) and a decrease of 18.8% in the trips of residents to the United Kingdom (17.272 compared to 21.268 last year).
