The prospect of strenthening the flow of tourists from India to Greece is very high as 22 million Indians travel abroad each year and 75 million have a passport and are consequently potential visitors, according to speakers at the Greek-India business forum in Athens on Tuesday, ANA reports.
Greek Tourism Minister Kountoura met in April with newly-appointed Indian Ambassador to Greece Shamma Jain and discussed the increase in the flow of tourists from India and ways to attract Bollywood movie producers to shoot on location in Greece. Kountoura also visited Mumbai and the International Tourism Exhibition OTM in February 2017, in which the Greek National Tourism Organisation participated for the first time with its own pavilion.
