The further increase of agricultural trade between Greece and India was the main topic of discussion during a meeting held on Wednesday between Agricultural Development and Food Minister Stavros Arachovitis and Indian Ambassador to Greece Shamma Jain, ANA reports.
Arachovitis thanked Jain for her contribution in launching trial exports of Greek apples in India and requested the publication, in the Indian Government Gazette, of her government’s decision to accept the cold treatment in transit method for the transport of kiwis and, eventually, apples. Moreover, he referred to the Greek side’s determination to protect the reputation of Greek products such as feta cheese throughout its commercial agreements with other countries.
