The Prespes Agreement came into force on Tuesday evening and the country was renamed – officially, ANA reports.
The new name is already used in official government and ministries websites, and Foreign Minister Nikolay Dimitrov’s title in his social media profile has been altered.
On Wednesday, at 14:00 (Athens time), a sign with the new name of the country, will be placed in the largest border crossing of the country, in Gevgelija (opposite the customs of the Evzonoi).
Moreover, according to the decisions of the interministerial committee, the issuance of new passports will start until the end of 2019.
