7th Bulgaria-Greece-Romania-Serbia summit focus on cross-border transport

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Friday referred to a “model of cooperation” for the wider SE Europe region in referring to the recently implemented Prespa agreement, in statements in Bucharest, during a joint press conference with his host, Romanian PM Viorica D?ncil?, naftemporiki.gr reports.

Speaking ahead of the 7th four-country summit of Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia, Tsipras noted his government and Bucharest support the Euro-Atlantic accession prospects of North Macedonia, as well as other Balkan countries, such as Albania.

Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay is also due to take part in the sessions.

Cross-border transport networks connecting the four countries are reportedly the focus of the summit, while the “quartet” of countries are also interested in submitting a joint bid to host the Euro 2028 football tournament.
