Cyprus Deputy Minister for Tourism Savvas Perdios and Egyptian Minister for Tourism Rania al Mashat decided to step up their cooperation in the field of tourism, according to CNA.
Perdios met with Mashat on Monday in Cairo while the two officials have laid the groundwork for joint tourist packages which could bring the countries closer through travel and tourism.
In statements to the press, Perdios noted he discussed with the Egyptian Minister the possibility of holding tourist cruises between the two countries as well as their air connection, issues which are progressing or are on a good track, he said.
“Cyprus and Egypt could do a lot together in the field of tourism, in the context of our cooperation in joint programs, promoting our countries to the benefit of our two peoples,” he said.
