Greece supports Serbia’s European perspective and recognizes its important role for security and stability in the region, President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos said on Tuesday during his meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic at the Presidential Mansion, according to ANA.
Pavlopoulos spoke of the bilateral relations between Greece and Serbia, which are already excellent, pointing out however that there is room for improvement.
On her part, Brnabic conveyed the heartfelt greetings of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, adding that he shall visit Athens in December in the framework of the Greek-Serbian Cooperation Council.
He also reiterated that a Strategic Partnership Agreement will be signed between the two countries by the end of 2019, which will open prospects for further cooperation, and thanked Greece for its position on Kosovo.
