Lorries from Turkey transported goods to the island of Chios on Monday for the first time since coronavirus containment measures came into effect in early March, ANA reports.
The commercial sea route from the Turkish city of Cesme carried goods destined for Greece and the rest of Europe, and was carried out in the context of a commercial transport restriction between Greece, Turkey, and several countries; it has been in effect since March 19 and allows for a twice-weekly entry of trade trucks into the country.
